Swedish ro-ro owner Rederi AB Transatlantic has brought in a new chief financial officer from Volvo.
Helene Mellquist was formerly CFO and vice president at the car maker's international division.
She has a degree in international economics from the University of Gothenburg, the company said.
Mellquist begins her new role on 1 January, 2012.
She replaces Gunnar Modalen, who has held the position since April 2011 on an interim basis and will support the company with other assignments.
Transatlantic lost finance chief Ola Helgesson in April, when he left to join Stena Line.
But he gave notice last November, meaning Transatlantic took nearly a year to find a successor.
