Break Bulk - Business Development Manager
My client is a ship owner with a well established presence in the Global Break bulk market. They own a fleet of MPP vessels ranging from 25,000 to 55,000 DWT, and work with diverse cargoes.
Due to head offices intention to stregthen their position within the European Market they require a business development manager to join their office in Johannesburg
The chosen candidate will take on a highly dynamic role in strengthening the marketing arm of the organisation. As such he/she will be expected to get out into the market on a regular basis and meet prospective customers and tender for new business.
This is a role which will bring a high level of autonomy and strategic freedom, however it requires an individual who is highly skilled in business development and is well versed in shipping as a whole, in particular, Breakbulk.
Fluency in English is essential.
