My client is a world leading shipping company, looking for an experienced broker to join their large team. The company values the importance of providing training and progression for employees.
· The preferred candidate will be able to perform the following tasks to a high level:
· Experience in dry cargo charter/broking
· Provide market information
· Excellent negotiation skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid relationships
· Liaise with ship owners and managers to develop new and existing business
· Knowledge of standard forms contracts, CP terms and conditions
· I.T skills
· Self-motivated, able to work under pressure
· Fluent in English
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and is looking to develop within the panamax market. Can work independently to drive own business as well as be team orientated. A client base would be preferred but not essential, confident negotiation skills and looking to progress within a reputable company.
