Contentious Shipping Role – Hong Kong

A leading firm’s Hong Kong shipping practice is seeking to recruit qualified lawyers with experience of shipping litigation. The role will involve working alongside senior partners who are well known within shipping law, and advising prestigious local and international shipping firms, ship managers, P&I Clubs and commodity brokers on a broad range of contentious issues arising from disputes based in South East Asia. The firm is well established in South East Asia, having operated out of Hong Kong for several years now, with their Hong Kong office recognised as a major contributor to the firm’s international presence.

The ideal candidate will have gained experience in a marine practice, and will have demonstrable experience of dealing with either wet or dry shipping law. The caseload handled by the team encompasses all areas of shipping and offshore work including marine casualties, shipbuilding and offshore construction litigation, ship leasing and disposal disputes, trading and transportation of commodities. Candidates with Chinese language skills are highly desirable although they are by no means necessary for this exciting role.

For more details of this role, please contact us at our London office on +44 (0)203 4405 625, or see our Maritime team's website for our other opportunities.
