A Technical (Engineering) Superintendent is required in the North East, UK - working with a well established shipping company. This individual will be responsible, for the management of a fleet of gas ships in service. The role has been created, due to considerable expansion and aquisition over the last year, and in a strong position to continue in 2013
The role requires a qualified Chief Engineer (class 1 unlimited) - to be responsible for full technical and budgetary responsibility, including regular repairs and maintenance, dry-docks, and liaison with class / flag to ensure safe and efficient passage globally.
Ideal candidate:
- Chief Engineer qualified Class 1 COC
- Seagoing knowledge and experience onboard Gas Carriers, or deep sea Tankers preferred
- An excellent communicator
- Willing to learn and gain further qualifications
This position would be open to an existing superintendent - however this is not essential to qualify for the role, as you will be remunerated according to background and experience; and will include a comprehensive benefits package.
