GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Crewing Executive is sought by our client, a global owner/operator in the offshore marketplace of the maritime industry. Based from the Singapore office, this role will support the Manning Manager regarding the delivery of a manning plan for vessels and projects within the designated area of authority.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a global service provider to the offshore marketplace in a non O&G related capacity. They own a fleet of offshore vessels and are a respected and well-established organisation who is recognised for innovation in the field of engineering.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar crewing role. Ideally you must have good interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with varied cultures and nationalities. Initiative and sound people management skills is essential for this role. In additional, a sound command of the written and spoken English which is required to efficiently and professionally liaise with varied nationalities who have English as the common language.
Key skills: -
- Experience of communicating with ships personnel and a working knowledge of marine terminology and culture.
- Experience and knowledge of national and international immigration regulations relating to seafarers.
- Working across international borders to work as a global team.
- Experienced in planning for seafarer movements and a working knowledge of crew changes.
Reporting to the Manning Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all vessels and projects are manned in line with the appropriate SLA or manning requests. This role will work as part of a team of stakeholders to design and deliver manning solutions. You will contribute to the delivery of the manpower plan and coordinate with third party suppliers of manpower to deliver a coordinated solution to manning requirements.
Duties will include updating the crew management system, ensuring that the company complies with relevant legislation and taxation regulations by adhering to the operating procedures. Proactive identification and manning of shortages and periods of over-supply. Supporting seafarer’s welfare, and professionally handling enquiries and issues for individual officers and management of seafarer’s expenses and travel.
