Jason Marine Group will soon have a new captain at the helm.

The Singapore-listed company announced that Ronald Tan Lian Huat will retire as CEO and executive director on 31 March after being with the outfit for 35 years.

He has been a director of subsidiary Jason Electronics since joining the group.

Huat, 65, has held the leadership post since 2007 and will be replaced by executive chairman Foo Chew Tuck.

"The board is of the view that it is in the interest of the group to adopt a single leadership structure going forward considering the size, scope and nature of the operations of the group," the company said.
