HSEQA Superintendent, London

Our client is a highly reputable gas ship owner and due to continued growth and success they are looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality & Audit Superintendent to join their safety team with the technical fleet operations department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting HSEQA Manager in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing effective HSEQA policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure the company objectives are met
  • Incident and Accident analysis and investigation
  • Safety Statistic analysis and reporting
  • Monitor training material availability and suitability
  • Train vessels crews on safety and risk management
  • Monitor the completion and outcome of the safety inspection reports
  • Regular ship visits to perform HSE Superintendent inspections and audits.
  • Review the risk assessments done by the crew.
  • Perform ISM internal audits
  • Encourage incident and near missing reporting
  • Stand-by member of the incident management team

The role will involve a high amount of international travel.

To be considered for this position you must have a seagoing background on gas ships or chemical tankers with experience in a shore based role in a similar position either working with a ship owner/operator, class society or ship registry.
