Site Manager (Permanent)

For this requirement, Faststream has aligned with a nationwide leader in Terminal Operations. They are searching for a Site Manager to be based in California.

Along with providing direction and leadership for the marine and vessel planning for the terminal, responsibilities for the Site Manager will include, but are not limited to:

• * Participating in sales operations through new business development and key customer contracts. 
  * Keeping a positive relationship with union and labor officials to ensure all policies and contracts are understood and followed.
  * Keeping the General Manager aware of all operational status changes via regular interactions and periodic reports.
  * Operating and develop within approved budget limits while targeting approved P&L results.
  * Evaluate / determine equipment and labor requirements for all vessels, meeting labor needs, and ensuring all appropriate equipment are well within safe working conditions.

Suitable candidates will have:

• * 10 years of experience within the ports and terminals space and 5+ years in management
  * A well-rounded knowledge base in planning, stevedore and terminal operations.
  * Extensive experience with safety, health and environmental issues (Local, National, and Government).
  * Budget preparation capabilities and a working knowledge of financial applications.
  * Comprehensive insight with safety/accident prevention codes to include governmental industry regulations.
