New Business Development

Our client provides a cloud-based system for charterers, brokers and owners to manage fixtures collaboratively. 

The system was designed to efficiently support the tanker fixture process while securing full audit trail, full control over all clauses and changes to them, and the ability to produce a final, high-quality charter party instantaneously. 

Due to continued growth they require a New Business Development Manager. 

The role: 

*Develop a healthy pipeline of new business prospects, globally 
*Utilising existing and company network to introduce and engage customers, online and offline 
*Participate in industry events and network opportunities 
*Initiate, organise and present to potential customers and at events 
*Collaborate with the business development team on continuous development and refinement of the value proposition 
*In coordination with business intelligence and marketing team on the offline and online marketing opportunities 

The expectations: 

*Experienced candidate within Business Development, particularly green field 
*London based with the ability and flexibility to travel (travel days approximately 50 days/year) 
*Must have maritime background, and experience with product/system/service sales at senior level 
*Capable and experience to manage the entire sales process, from cold calling to closure 
*Strong process and sales methodology background 
*Experienced in complex BtB sales with a range stakeholders, across geographical locations 
*Ability to engage in, contribute to and communicate product/customer fit (value propositions) 
*Engagement in, understanding of and living company values as well as communicate these with market 
*Self-starter, highly motivated and team player 
*Ability to deal with stakeholders at all organisational levels 
*Strong communication and numeric skills 
*Good experience with SalesForce would be advantageous
