Application Support Analyst

Clarksons Platou has an exciting opportunity for an Applications Support Analyst to join their IT team in London. You will be working with internal resources and both internal and external clients to maintain the support and delivery of our in-house and market applications and have plenty of exposure to numerous technologies and applications, the scope of which is continuously increasing. 

You will be working in a customer-focussed environment, ensuring issues are dealt with promptly, escalation processes are followed and training requirements are met. While a background in shipping and / or application support would be an advantage, it’s not essential. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and have initiative and ambition. The ability to learn quickly, adapt and ‘think on your feet’ is essential. 

 

The ideal candidate will be a team player, display a strong work ethic, exhibit professionalism, be dedicated to meeting and exceeding expectations, have excellent problem solving skills, be able to learn new technologies quickly, use their time efficiently and have the ability to write, speak and present information clearly and effectively.

This is an exciting new role, in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial IT organisation, that will develop further for the candidate with the right skills and attributes.
  
Your impact: 

  • Provide high-quality proactive application support
  • Communicate progress of resolution/status in a timely fashion
  • Work closely with the business analyst and technical teams on application issues, product road map and new features
  • Raise application awareness - create promotional material, maintain documentation and conduct training sessions
  • Build and enhance existing relationships within the IT organisation and the wider internal business
  • Work with external clients to support our market products

Requirements:

  • Software support experience an advantage but not essential
  • Maritime industry experience a plus
  • Enjoys working with a diverse group of stakeholders, software and computers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Analytical thinking, quality conscious and results driven attitude
