Gas Analyst - LPG Desk London

Clarksons has an exciting opportunity for a technically astute Gas Analyst to join the LPG team in London. This position focuses on enhancing our voice broking functions by promoting our bespoke shipping and trading applications both internally and externally. The role would suit a commercially minded individual with a passion for technology and shipping.

Tasks will include:

• Developing advanced user status of in-house shipping applications
• Attending client meetings to promote our technology and answer technical questions
• Maintaining key databases and presentation slide packs
• Supporting senior team members in preparing client presentations
• Providing general assistance to brokers with a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests
• Interact with a wide range of internal and external clients
• Working on the maintenance and development of various models and new products relating to international trade and the demand for shipping

The successful candidate will be:

• Knowledge of shipping or energy applications preferable but not essential 
• Excellent/highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven experience presenting to clients/brokers
• Have a very strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Have an ability to resolve conflicting data
• Have excellent communication skills, being fluent in written and spoken English
