Our client is a leading international marine services provider offering the market a diverse portfolio of products and services.
 
As Sales Development Manager (Liquid Trades) you will be the authority for all matters relating to liquid trade operations.  Working closely with the Sales Team you will bridge the gap between out-bound sales and in-bound customer enquiries / relationship management.  Coming from a tanker operations’ background you will be able to fully appreciate the commercial impact that successful operational management can make to overall profitability and business performance.
 
The Role:
You will have deep market / segment knowledge of bulk liquid trades, ships agency and tanker operations.
You will support sales activity by working closely with the Tender Team on delivering contracts and customer proposals.
You will monitor port performance and work to improve operational efficiencies.
You will take a pro-active approach to delivering customer solutions.
You will produce analysis and intelligence reports as/when required to shine insight on market trends, opportunities and threats.
 
This is a newly created strategic role within the business.  To be considered you will have a minimum of 5 years experience within bulk liquid trades and tanker operations.  The ideal candidate will currently be in an operations role now within a large commodity trading business or ship owner with insight and knowledge of the market and where the opportunities exist within it (e.g. trade flows).
