Marine After-Sales Manager, EAME

Our clients product offerings include diesel & dual fuel propulsion and auxiliary marine engines, as well as complete marine generator sets and additionally to power generation. 
Due to continued Success they require a Marine After- Sales Manager for EAME. 
JOB PURPOSE: To develop, implement, and manage product support processes, Dealer capabilities, and Product Health to support the Propulsion and Medium Speed power generation product lines and market segments. 
This position is a senior consultant to dealer and customer operations managers as well as executive management advising on strategic direction for account management and equipment management and health activities. 
The key role of this position is that of a seasoned marine technical professional with several years of related experience including field, staff, support and supervisory assignments. The position manages a work unit of experienced marine management/professional employees where monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required as well as training, developing and mentoring. The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates. 

The position travels extensively; at least two full weeks each month as the accountable territory is extensive and peer and leader meetings are often out of theater. 

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: This position prefers a Marine college or university degree or equivalent experience. Incumbents usually have 9-12 years of related Marine experience including operational, staff, support and supervisory assignments. The position requires thorough knowledge of Marine engine products, product applications, commercial processes and/or warranty practices and procedures. The ability to direct multi-functional activities (whether in the same segment or different segments) is preferred, and global exposure (80% or more of the job dealing internationally; outside the home country) is also preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
