Marine Superintendent, UK

Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is looking for a Marine Superintendent to join their experienced team looking after their sizeable tanker fleet.

As Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe operation of 7-8 vessels aiding the Master and crew to operate their vessels to company standards and in compliance with international rules and regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Vessel compliance, implementation of new regulations and classification requirements
  • Audits, PCS, USCG, and flag state requirements
  • Oversee security matters
  • Maintaining response plans and TMSA
  • Reporting of incidents, undertake any necessary investigations
  • Management of navigation standards
  • Regular ship visits
  • Preparation of fleet safety bulletins

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a strong background sailing on either LNG, LPG or chemical tankers as a Master or Chief Officer. Ideally you should have previous experience working ashore as a Marine Superintendent or in a similar position, however candidates coming straight from sea will also be considered. You should have a hands-on approach, be a strong team player and able to work on your own initiative.
