Head of Group Treasury and Investor Relations

Are you prepared to serve as an advisor and sparring partner to the Senior Management Team and the Board of an industry-leading shipping company? Then you may be our new Vice President for Group Treasury and Investor Relations.  
 
Main responsibilities 
You will be using your strong people and structuring skills to drive and develop a pivotal function in TORM covering three strategic focus areas: 
 
Group Treasury 
You will use your skills to engage a strong network of international financial partners and secure the best possible bank and financing agreements for TORM in relation to loans, interest rates, currencies, etc. You will negotiate TORM’s debt structures in connection with acquisitions of vessels or companies and also ensure global cash management and liquidity on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for the execution of financial transactions such as hedge instruments and currency trading. 
 
Investor Relations 
In close cooperation with TORM’s Senior Management, you will be in charge of the day-to-day communication and dialogue with TORM’s investors and financial analysts covering the TORM shares, which are listed in both Denmark and the USA. You will prepare investor presentations, stock exchange announcements and other relevant materials and arrange and hold teleconferences, investor road shows, etc. In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing development of TORM’s equity story. 
 
Risk Management 
You will be responsible for TORM’s Enterprise Risk Management including trading mandates, counterparty risks, FFAs, IR and FX risks. You will prepare and participate in TORM’s Risk Committee meetings, where the Board of Directors oversees the risk management processes and reporting of the Company and discusses relevant risk management policies, capital structure targets and planned funding initiatives. 
 
As Head of Group Treasury and Investor Relations, you will be the direct manager for three experienced employees and you will engage in a close cooperation with other TORM offices around the world. You must expect that the work will involve certain travel activity and require flexibility around earnings seasons and other busy periods. You will become part of the Finance and IT Management Team and report to CFO Christian Søgaard-Christensen.  
 
Your profile 
We expect that you are an ambitious person with a master's degree from a business school or university and with significant relevant experience from a similar role or an advisory function where you play an active role in negotiations. Furthermore, you must bring high professional competency to the position and meet the following requirements:
 
  • Ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues to reach ambitious goals and continuously improve work processes  
  • Extensive negotiation experience 
  • Ability to develop, synthesize and present perspectives on key strategic/financial issues to Senior Management and external stakeholders 
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to critical details 
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of accounting 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills – proficiency in both written and spoken English is expected  
  • Outgoing and accommodating personality, recognized for your trustworthiness and high work ethics
