Tanker Charterer (London)

Supporting our client's trading activity you will be responsible for chartering all sizes covering Product and Chemical trades as well as providing support to Crude desk activity as/when required.

The Role

• You will provide close support to traders to achieve optimum freight opportunities for both clean and dirty petroleum products across all sizes as well as bio fuels, feedstocks, easy-chemicals (including inland barging as required) for entrepreneurial trades covering Scandinavia, Med, and Baltic with occasional Far East coverage.
• Develop and execute tanker chartering strategies for coverage of import/exports of fuel oil, feed stocks, clean and dirty petroleum products and easy-chemicals.
• Negotiate and conclude sport, term and COA requirements in accordance with company policy and limits of authority.
• Collate, produce and present market intelligence reports as/when required.

The Person

To be considered you will be an established tanker chartering specialist with a proven commercial track record in the trades detailed above.
You will have an up to date and insightful knowledge of the international tanker freight markets and must be willing and able to cover both clean and dirty desks as/when required.
Strong written and verbal presentation skills are essential.
