Vetting Manager

Long-established and highly reputable Piraeus-based shipping company seeks an experienced individual to assume the post of Vetting Manager for a modern, diversified fleet.

Responsibilities
 
While reporting to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate will:
 
Assume ownership of the Company’s entire vetting process with authority to take action on client and business-related vetting issues.
Efficiently coordinate process with on-shore and seagoing personnel and, as required, with clients.
Apply appropriate tools (technical, training, IT) to support vetting and related activities.
Enhance Company’s accountability culture throughout the vetting process.
 
Qualifications/Requirements
 
University or naval academy graduate with strong command of the English language and very good oral and written communication skills.
Previous vetting experience with oil major or shipping company is required  along with in-depth knowledge of the TMSA process and OCIMF guidelines/reporting requirements.
Seagoing experience will be considered but is not required.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
