Senior Manager, Demurrage and Claims (Singapore)
An international tanker company is looking for an experienced Senior Manager for the Demurrage & Claims department to join their team in Singapore.

This is a new position created to lead the current Demurrage & Claims team in Singapore, with the responsibility to manage all global claims, demurrages, post-fixture matters. As part of your daily role, you will be required to be independently handling demurrage calculations as well as other miscellaneous claims matter related to vessels’ employment.
As a Senior Manager, you are also expected to review and improve current claim processes / procedures, reduce operational gaps / processes and to ensure operational efficiency. You will be working closely with the Chartering and Operations team to identify potential issues / provide solutions, ensuring all claims and revenues are handled within the relevant time-line.
You will also be communicating with external customers to expedite claims settlements, handle dispute resolutions, etc. Report preparation, reviewing and analysing is also part of the job responsibility.
The ideal candidate is someone with relevant degree and at least 10 years of tanker / maritime working experience in handling post-fixtures / demurrages and claims matters. You should have at least 3 to 5 years of leadership experience, managing a small team.
