Fractal is recruiting a Junior Charterer, who will help grow our Panamax tonnage and cargo book and trading strategy . As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will report directly to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Executing on the company’s overall research-driven trading strategy
  • Performing voyage estimate calculations to identify profitable opportunities
  • Fixing in cargoes and tonnage in a risk-aware fashion, under the authority of the senior freight trader
  • Augmenting the team’s market insights and decision-making through analysis and research in the Panamax market
  • Growing the company’s network of trusted counter-parties through business development

Requirements

  • A Business, Finance, Shipping or related degree
  • Two + years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of voyage and TC charterparty terms and freight trading conventions
  • First-rate attention to detail and thoroughness
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • The drive, energy and ambition to help grow Fractal into the leading 21st century Dry Bulk Company
