Spinnaker has partnered with an international ship owner/management provider, for a London based Accountant.

Working within a team of three and reporting into the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include carrying out all month-end reconciliation and reports; group VAT returns and relevant accounting projects.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, technical/operations teams and internal/external auditors.

You will be responsible for ensuring all documents such as invoices, cash expenses, corporate card items are correctly coded, authorised, processed and posted accurately.

Seeking a candidate with previous experience within the shipping industry or background a Big 5 environment. You will be either a finalist or part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA. You will have a solid knowledge of basic accounting and a good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.

Knowledge and experience in systems such as Danaos, IMOS and Oracle is an advantage.
