Head of Crewing, Oldendorff Carriers, Lubeck, Germany

We have 20 offices and 10 trans-shipment projects and typically operate 600-700 owned and chartered vessels which carry around 30 million mt of bulk and unitised cargo every year.

We are seeking a first-class individual to join our head office in Lübeck, Germany as Head of Crewing, responsible for 70+ owned an in-house managed ships and working with our third party shipmanagers who look after 30+ further vessels.

The Head of Crewing will be part of the Fleet Management Directors Team, making strategic decisions for the whole fleet.

You are an inspiring leader, an intuitive people person, who will motivate both the crew on-board, as well as the crewing team in the office to reach for excellence.

By promoting a safety culture and best practices on board you will help us to minimize incidents and accidents, making our vessels a safe and attractive place for our crews to work and making Oldendorff a first choice ship-owner for our customers’ cargo requirements. You are a Master Mariner and a highly experienced crewing professional. You have experience working with a sizeable fleet, of running remote crewing offices and training centres and you understand the importance of happy, loyal and effective crew to safety and commercial success.
