(Senior) Business Developer

Angelicoussis Group, one of the world's biggest private ship owning groups is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hardworking Senior / Business Developer.
Key responsibilities
- Secures opportunities by helping to set up key partnerships with new counterparts in order to implement business development strategies focused on low & zero carbon value chain;
- Identifies new project opportunities regarding the CCUS project funnel or blue/green Ammonia/H2, and discerns the economics of these value chains in a full lifecycle;
- Project management throughout the full contractual, economic & technical lifecycle of the project;
- Run commercial proposals and negotiations by structuring opportunities considering the regulatory framework and techno-economic risks;
- Builds relationships with companies across their entire organizational structure;
- Be comfortable working with a variety of commercial business models for the projects, in a variety of value chains (Co2, CCS, CCUS, Blue/Green Ammonia / H2);
- Understands regional government support frameworks for the Zero/Low Carbon economy;
- Advances Group’s collective understanding/positioning in the Zero/Low Carbon space and representing it at Industry relevant conferences;
- Prepares monthly reports to monitor progress and highlight future opportunities & create strategic market insights for the organization
Candidate must have:
Education
- Degree in Engineering (preferably process engineering, chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering) or equivalent work experience. A ph.D in a relative field is preferred.
Experience
- 10-15 years of Business Development experience: around 10-15 strong track record leading to FID or implementation of significant projects as main lead (3+ years working in managerial roles)
- Upstream/downstream, gas, origination, business development asset/commodity-based background
- Extensive commercial experience in business development in EMEA/AP, demonstrating successful value creation
- Deep knowledge and experience working in carbon capture related industries, especially with contacts within Industrial gas companies, oil & gas companies, EPCs, or major OEMs
- Proven ability to enhance/build relationships within the international major/utilities/miners
- In-depth understanding of Energy Transition developments preferable in the maritime industry
- Project management that delivered value with successful change management, particularly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Very good, detailed understanding of the energy markets, the offset carbon market & deep understanding of the oil and gas industries, as well as the shipping industry’s value drivers & business outlooks
- Experience and in-depth understanding of decarbonization developments in the maritime industry and ability to follow other proximal sectors (airline industry or hard decarb sectors)
- Thorough understanding of the shipping market and marine environment to manage commercial focus and find new business opportunities
- Experience in business planning and interpreting future strategies
- Experience in gathering and analyzing trend data and insights with the ability to produce relevant presentations and graphical visuals to represent the findings.
