Chartering Officer

  • Reporting to Chartering Manager.
  • Assisting in Chartering the vessels owned and chartered by the Company. Following up all commercial operations issues.  
  • Making voyage calculations and comparing possibilities in accordance with market trends and corporate policies.
  • Assisting in making charter party details in cooperation with Operations Department.
  • Assisting chartering activities of the company.
  • Supporting the billing and invoicing process for chartering services.
  • Creating, understanding and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Daily update of DANAOS ERP.
  • Analyze market data to identify business opportunities.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Masters in Shipping, Finance, Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in Tankers (CPP) and Chemicals is required. Knowledge of Dry market would be a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of chartering fundamentals, commercial aspects of the market and CPP operations.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written use of Greek & English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Operations ERP systems (ideally DANAOS)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are key for this role.
