The group operates a modern, fuel-efficient fleet of owned, long and short term chartered tonnage with a combined fleet of more then 100 vessels, ranging from handysize up to capsize bulk carriers and with offices around the world.

For our Handysize operations department in Antwerp, Belgium, Cobelfret is looking for a Dry Bulk Ship Operator (M/F).

Function description: 

Your main objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running and performance of each shipment/contracts. Therefore, you will:

• be involved in all day-to-day operational aspects;
• closely monitor and coordinate the operations of our vessels optimizing the P&L;
• constantly and correctly to the contracts liaise with all parties involved (master, owners, agents, charterers, brokers,…);
• timely and diligently administer activities;
• prevent and solve disputes.

Your profile:

• You have a reliable and continuous work track record in a dry bulk shipping company
• You hold a degree/diploma from a relevant to the industry University/College;
• You are a competent, diligent, responsible, alert and dedicated professional;
• You are eager to extend competence, achieve goals and able to fully integrate within a high performing international team;
• You are flexible and have the ability to make decisions under pressure as well as demonstrate excellent reasoning and analytical skills;
• You are fluent in English.  Any additional language is an advantage;
• A previous sailing experience will be considered as an advantage;
• Having worked with IMOS-software will be considered as an advantage.
