Songa Shipmanagement Ltd

Songa Shipmanagement Ltd. is the inhouse shipmanagement company of the Blystad Group with 20 years of experience. The company performs technical manageent of VLCCs’ Dry bulk vessels, Chemical/product vessels, Heavylift vessels and  FPSOs.

Songa Shipmanagement has been in operation since 1988, and is a purpose-built technical management specialist for ships owned and operated by the Blystad Group. Songa Shipmanagement employs about 25 on-shore staff and 430 ship staff. Its motto is Safety, Quality and Responsibility.

Songa Shipmanagement has a close working relationship with a number of class societies, including Det Norske Veritas, ABS, Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd’s Register, Korea Register and NKK. Ships managed by Songa Shipmanagement have operated for some of the world’s leading energy companies, including Chevron, Total, ExxonMobil, Statoil and Shell.

The company headquarters are in Glasgow, Scotland.
